Jano Baghdanian is a professional Transportation Engineer with over 35 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He has managed a wide range of transportation projects in various municipalities. He has experience in all aspect of traffic engineering, transportation planning, and signal design and operations. As City of Glendale's former Traffic and Transportation Administrator, he was responsible for the review of various Traffic Impact Studies for small and large scale residential, commercial and mixed-used projects.
Mr. Baghdanian has extensive experience in all Federal, State, and regional funding sources. As the City’s Traffic and Transportation Administrator he was successful in obtaining more that $100 million in project funding for various transportation infrastructure projects over the last 15 years. For City of Glendale, he planned and programmed more than $87 M in Measure R funding for transportation project that are currently underway and will be the source of funding for the upcoming major infrastructure projects in the next 20 years.
Mr. Baghdanian is most familiar with coordination and permitting requirements of agencies such as LA Metro, Caltrans, SCRRA, Metrolink, and the City of Glendale.
In the last six years as President of JB & Associates, provided professional traffic engineering services to cities, environmental planning consulting firms and developer. Prepared over 50 traffic impact studies for a variety of development projects such as large scale residential mixed-use projects, hotels, retail and commercial projects, athletic facilities and schools. Analyzed intersection capacities using Synchro and PTV Vistro modeling software. Prepared parking studies and conducted parking occupancy surveys for athletic facilities, mixed use projects, and major retail establishments.
